So, here’s a little riddle for you: what do Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Cthulhu, and Commander Keen all have in common?  Take your time.  Think this one over.  Go grab a sandwich or something.  Alright, now that you’ve thoroughly confused yourself, do you give up?  The answer is that they are all the subjects of three new singles added to the music page just now!  That’s right, we’ve got some individual tracks up for grabs now.  So do your ears a favor and head over to the Music page and have a listen!

I’ve mentioned Splot Studios in the past, particularly in reference to the absolutely spectacular web series “The Windy City.”  For anyone who doesn’t know what I’m talking about, click here and watch your way through the series.  I can’t stress enough the fact that everybody should watch this show.  It’s funnier than most of what can be found on television anymore and produced with just as much professionalism.  (Well, that might be something of a stretch, but still…)

What brings it back to ZXDWare on this particular occasion is the release of their eighth episode, entitled simply “Pizza.”  In this episode, Elvis sits down to watch a movie, orders a pizza and things pretty much start spiraling into madness from there.  Here’s the kicker: the movie he’s sitting down to watch is none other than our very own remake of Plan 9 From Outer Space!  Unfortunately, you don’t get to see any visuals, but the audio is clearly heard at a couple of points throughout the episode.  It’s sort of a minor thing, but nonetheless is worth mentioning.  Anything to get more people watching the show!

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned for another update some time in the not too distant future, and don’t forget to check out The Windy City!

Sorry it’s been so long folks, but we had a major internet crisis between the months of June and July that made it completely impossible for the site to be updated. In order to try and make it up to you, I’ve added yet another new section to the site, this time specializing in music. And it gets better from there, folks; as indicated by the title of this post, there’s a whole album of groovy tunes to be had! Once for sale on a previous iteration of the site for a mere $10, no copies have ever sold to my knowledge, and since the band had a falling out and never recorded another album I’ve decided to give it away for free after nearly four years. Go and have a listen to “The Scoffery of Melting” by the Cosmonauts of 1843 in the brand new music section right away!

Also, since I haven’t touched on it here before, you should join the ZXDWare Facebook page. Here you can receive insider updates and all sorts of fun crap like that. So join up and tell all your friends! If you don’t, I will find you!

That’s right folks, updates two nights in a row! This unprecedented and shocking event has been made possible by the latest addition to the videos section: Reginold Bleys and the Purple Wizard. A stop-motion animation by our very own Niall Farley and edited by yours truly, Reginold Bleys was one of the first video projects worked on by members of the ZXDWare staff. So be sure to check it out; it is certainly a delight to behold!!

Video section now online

May 31st, 2010

It gives me great pleasure to announce that our videos section has finally arrived! As of right now, three films are available for viewing: Pantsy Cake: The Legend of Tiaf Smoefligan, The Victorian’s Moving Picture Journal, and our very own remake of Plan 9 From Outer Space, the infamous science fiction failure by the legendary Ed Wood. Check them out in the videos section!  We have more finished films waiting in the queue as well; all that has to be done is make a couple of inquiries to third parties and get the films themselves uploaded. So tune in next time, viewers at home! Same Bat-time, same bat-channel!

Hey there sports fans! Contrary to popular belief, ZXDWare is not dead. We are, in fact, quite the opposite. There’s been a lot of creative flow going on behind the scenes over the past several months, much of which will soon be making its debut here on the site. For those of you who are interested, let me break it down for you:

1.) We have a number of video projects that will be showing up here soon, including the directorial debut of yours truly in a remake of a cinematic bomb that’s truly “out of this world!” I should be shot for typing that. Period.

2.) My old internet radio show, The Incredible Melting Radio Show – Starring Dr. Ted Nelson has sadly come to its end due to insufficient funds, insufficient internet, and insufficient co-host. And by that last one, I am saying that he’s no longer with me. Not that he’s dead. He’s just in another state. But at any rate, hopefully we’ll be able to get the old episodes of the show up and set up an archive here. It’ll be FANTASTIC!

Aside from this list here, there are a number of other things we’re considering, such as a reviews section, a legacy projects page (for those projects of ours that have unfortunately gone to the Graveyard of Ill-Conceived Ideas) and a whole lot more. There’s a whole lot going on behind the scenes right now, too, so stay tuned to this website for more content in the future!

Vidya Games & Hippity Hop Music

September 1st, 2009

Let’s be honest with each other: everybody loves games.  Maybe you don’t like video games (though I highly doubt it since you’re reading this on the internet) but even then you probably dig Scrabble or Trouble or Don’t Break The Ice.  We here at ZXDWare are no different from you in that respect.  But we’ve tried to make some games of our own, too.  Of course, none of us really have any applicable skills in that field at the present, but we’re looking to change that at some point in the future.

On that first point, you may have noticed there’s a new page on the side bar.  That’s right!  I’ve uploaded a Games page that will house all future releases from us.  Right now, there’s only one game listed and it’s only a minimalistic coffee break game, but hopefully we’ll be able to change that in the future with more from our creative collective.

On the SECOND point, if you or somebody you know is a competent coder (preferably C++) who would like to be a part of a team that possesses a lot of writing talent as well as graphical prowess–yes, we can actually contribute something to the game other than ideas, thus putting us ahead of 90% of the internet–please have them write us at postmaster@zxdware.net.  At the moment, I’m sure there aren’t too many people reading, but hell, it’s worth a shot.  And if you don’t call us, well, we may just well call you.

HELLO IM NEW

August 25th, 2009

HELLO IS THIS ON
DO I TYPES WORD IN WINDO WHAT I DO

Hi, I’m Rowsdower Chris. Better known as The Riddler Ranger. I do some stuff on the Internet. Also, it seems I am the newest member of the NRA ZXDWare, so I thought I’d mutiny make a post introducing myself.

I like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain Lego, and maintain a fair collection of that. I am, also a furry Sonic fan for reasons unbeknownst to me. Mostly of Sally Acorn fanart on Deviantart the older games and the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. I do run a triple X website forum game about Sonic, the critically acclaimed Porky Story MS Paint Chaotix (which can be found at this shameless self-plug link: http://forum.starmen.net/forum/Fan/Interactive/GAME-MS-Paint-Chaotix ) I am also working on a hentai doujinshi RPG Maker game (again, Sonic related, what a surprise. I need more hobbies), and I have been known to dabble in black magic musical stuff.

Me and ZXD have been mortal enemies pretty good friends online for a while now, and I’m excited to force him to use the old banner again work with him on this site. Sorry about all the strikethroughs this lame introductory post, and expect to see more Megaman recolours than ever before of me in the coming weeks.

The new layout is here!

August 23rd, 2009

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen who have probably completely forgotten about the site!  After a year of sitting with a completely blank front page, ZXDWare is finally back up and running.  This is going to mean a lot of changes for the site, but hopefully once everything is 100% sorted out, we’ll be better than we ever were!

What does this change mean for you, you ask?  Well, for starters, I will be removing all non-original content from the site and pruning out all less-than-satisfactory stuff as well.  That means all the old pictures from the images section that you’d either seen a thousand times before or didn’t understand because it was some archaic in-joke from 2003?  Gone!  Moreover, I will be looking to bring some more members to the team to help generate content and keep this place alive.  After all, it never hurts to have help!

So stay tuned to this page to watch for future developments!
