Happy Bob Says:
#2 - Bush is President, Stop Kerrying On

Hey there, Happy Bob again. Time for us to talk politics! Because even though I support Bush, I'm mad as hell today! I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore! Bush was elected, and since then, all I've heard from Kerry supporters is whining and complaining.

And why is that? Kerry himself congratulated Bush on winning, and yet everyone who was rooting for him that I've spoken to does nothing but foulmouth the president. The actual enemies were man enough to congratulate each other, and yet people who held no connections to the government whatsoever haven't enough tact to even try to make logical arguments for why they hate Bush so much. Even the few who did were giving me uninformed garbage for answers!

That's why I'm here before you today. I might be crazy, but I have mind enough to be able to sort things out here. Before I get into the reasons why, I just want to say, I don't think Bush is responsible for jack that's going on right now. Everything that's going wrong with America isn't his fault. Here's why.

First issue is the economy. People are all up in a tizzy because "Bush" is outsourcing jobs. NO. The reason so many jobs are being outsourced comes from two things: the inflexibility of unions, and Clinton's Free Trade Act. Unions demand more money for less work. Someone I know worked for General Motors for 30 years, and all he did was check in and go to sleep. Meanwhile, he was provided with a company van, got to work midnights for extra cash, and nobody could fire him, because the union protected him! And the Free Trade Act made outsourcing jobs a no-hassle process for companies who didn't want to pay. Blaming Bush for unions that have been around more than a hundred years and a document that Bill Clinton signed is completely unreasonable.

What's more, people complain about Iraq. "Why are we still there," they ask. "We should just leave!" NO. We can't just leave! That's why people are still dying! There are still radicals out there, fighting against the forming Iraq government and the United States because they oppose freedom of choice through democracy, instead favoring a more traditional, oppressive Saddamesque regime. If we just up and left, the whole war would have been for nothing. Our troops really WOULD have died in vain. America shouldn't be so eager to simply void the deaths of those they treasured.

"But," some argue. "Why did we even go in the first place? We found no WMDs, no ties to Al-Quaeda or Taliban!" Surely this is reason enough to leave them alone! NO. Regardless of whether or not they even had the WMDs, or the terrorist ties, Saddam was a MADMAN. He murdered thousands of his own people with chemical weapons, and for what? NOTHING. Should we let him get away with this? If we'd have let Saddam go on opressing his people, soon, the other radical leaders still out there would have kept on going with their reigns of terror. I can easily argue that North Korea and Iran would have used the WMDs that we know for sure that they have by this time had we not declared war against terror. It's not just a war against terror, it's a war against evil itself. And it's a war we will win.

We're not on our way towards facism. The only ways we're at all being restricted by the US Government are in ways that are simply to deter terrorist attacks. Would you rather still be able to get through an airport without being searched, only to die in a fiery ball of death when a man with a bomb in his carry-on suitcase detonated it mid-flight, blasting the hull into fragments? Nobody wants to die. A little bit of oppression is a small price to pay to be able to live a safe life. And if you disagree, you're just one of them.

One of them, being the mindless drones who follow the opinions of others instead of forming their own. Schoolfish, that's all they are. Nothing but schoolfish, who by law of association, hate Bush, because one person they know was laid off thanks to "the Bush administration." Soon, all of these mindless drones have a single opinion based off of things that don't even effect them. Of course, to be fair, the same thing goes for some Kerry haters. All I can say here is that if you have an opinion, and can't make your own, don't bother having one.

I end this segment on this note. Altogether, I haven't agreed with a single damn thing Kerry said throughout his whole campaign, except for one thing he said today meeting the president. He said something to the effect that he hoped Bush would be able to unite the nation again, who seemed to be more divided than even during the Vietnam War. We do need to unite again. Whether you like it or not, Kerry lost. He realizes it, and you might as well, too. Bush is undoubtedly going to try his damnedest to get things back on track, and well, that's how it ought to be. Kerry can't do it, and he won't be able to unless he runs again. Until then, I just hope we can unite as a nation and stand behind our government. Because if the government trips, and nobody's there to catch it, chances are it's going to break something. And whether you believe it or not, it's going to effect you.

Maybe I can't change your mind about Bush being an idiot, but I hope I can at least get you to unite. We're not called the United States of America for nothing. I close with a famous quote which I can't say the source is. "A house divided cannot stand." Keep that in mind.

God bless America.
